Clinic Services Assistant Job Opening in Eden Prairie, Minnesota - We are currently seeking a Clinic Services Assistant to join our team! We are a values-based clinic that prioritizes the provider-patient relationship in a non-judgement setting, offering traditional western medicine combined with natural/holistic care options. Work environment is unique, caring and supportive. We are an ego-free clinic, patients always come first.
Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday: 7am-7pm and Saturday-Sunday: 8am-4pm. Position would be part-time with flexible hours and include weekend rotation.
Purpose of Job: This position is responsible for creating a positive first impression to patients via phone or reception area, complete accurate registration and scheduling for patients and various administrative and housekeeping duties.
Job Functions:
Performs basic receptionist duties to include answering and returning phone calls, and retrieving voicemail.
Accurately prepares charts for next day appointments.
Greets and provides courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
Assures accurate processing of patient registration and scheduling and performs appointment reminder calls.
Scans, files and posts documents into patient charts.
Assures reimbursement through basic insurance processing tasks.
Performs openings and closing duties.
Coordinates requests for release of medical information.
Assists with the training and orientation of new staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Employment Requirements:
Minimum:
High school graduate or equivalent
Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above.
Preferred:
Medical office/insurance experience and/or previous electronic medical software experience
