FT Diesel Tech Mechanic Job Opening in rochester, New York - FT Diesel Tech Mechanic ?Truck Mechanic (Full-Time) Job Summary Medium sized private refuse hauler is in need of a diesel tech who performs quality fleet maintenance to ensure a smoothly operating fleet of vehicles to ensure we can pick up refuse in Monroe County. The Truck Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and repairing fleet automobiles and medium to heavy-duty trucks under minimal supervision. Essential Job Functions ? Examines vehicle and discusses mechanical issues with drivers to ascertain the nature and extent of damage or malfunction ? Conducts preventative maintenance procedures as defined by established PM checklists ? Repairs and overhauls , trucks, and other automotive vehicles ? Maintains sufficient parts inventories as needed to ensure timely PM and repairs Requirements ? MUST HAVE own tools ? Must be self-motivated and have good written and verbal communication skills ? Must conduct oneself in a professional manner MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE AND WORK WELL WITH OTHERS Skills, Training, and Education Requirements ?
