Under minimal supervision, assists the Technicians and Sr. Technicians in performing routine and basic adjustments to baggage handling systems and/or passenger boarding bridges. Responsibilities 1. May be responsible for clearing system jams. 2. Compliance with ELS Safety program policies and procedures. 3. Assists in conducting daily and periodic shift inspections and cleaning, system components based on an established scheduled preventive maintenance program. 4. Assist in mechanical adjustments on baggage systems and/or passenger boarding bridges. 5. Assist qualified personnel in the electrical adjustments on baggage systems and/or passenger boarding bridges once applicable electrical safety courses are passed. 6. Perform adjustments in belt tracking, belt tension and/or gearbox and bearing lubrication. 7. Ability to work in tight and/or high spaces using appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment. 8. Complete PM checklist in accordance with established procedures, document accordingly in applicable computer program. 9. Work according to Company regulations and procedures, and instructions from 10. Assist with the dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment or machines for stock replacement and/or to restore equipment to operational status. 11. Will communicate with other Company personnel as required in a manner designated by the Company 12. Maintain work orders in applicable computer program. 13. Maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Employer's insurance policy. (See Vehicle Safety Policy) 14. Perform additional duties/assignments as may be required by management and or supervisors. Requirements ? Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent and technical school or experience in related field. ? Complete all applicable electrical safety courses. ? Complete ELSU SAF training as directed by Management. ? Knowledge of conveyor and/or passenger boarding bridges a plus. ? Knowledge of airport operations and maintenance preferred. ? Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. ? Ability to work effectively with minimal amount of specific direction and guidance. ? Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings. ?
