Software Development Engineer Job Opening in Seattle, Washington - Our client is looking for a dynamic, accomplished leader to drive the delivery and development of a competitive digital platform. The digital platform will consist of video content along with traditional content which make up news packages (such as images and copy). Create new and unique offerings for audiences that are increasingly turning to the Internet and mobile devices for video entertainment.
Ideal candidates will have had experience in agile environments, partner relationship management, technical execution, business development, product management, mobile and device development, management, and startup growth.
Required Qualifications:
5 years or more experience managing teams and or products
5 years or more experience with agile processes, teams and tools
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or commensurate experience
Extensive proven experience delivering application solutions in the mobile and / or video space
Strong understanding of the video and broadcast business
Strong understanding of the video encoding and methodologies
Desired Experience:
UX development on web and OTT services
Development of Javascript and other scripting skills a must
Software development on video players like JW, Flow and THEO
Experience deploying digital video streaming solutions at scale
Hands-on technical implementation skills in video encoding and related technologies
Working knowledge of FFMPEG and other encoding technologies
AWS cloud platform management experience
Drill-Down Reporting & or similar tools for video telemetry
Comfortable creating new architectural documentation from scratch
Experience with multi-tier application architecture
Continuous Deployment and Integration methodologies
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of hands on experience with enterprise technologies. He or she needs to have proven development experience on mission-critical systems. Experience with REST and JSON based API web services. Experience with cloud based data services desired with event-based messaging bus architecture like MQTT.
Must clear background check and drug screen.
