Benefits Specialist Job Opening in Florence, Kentucky - The Human Resources Specialist - Benefits will be responsible for the daily administration of all health and welfare, retirement and absence management programs and provides ongoing programs and industry related analysis.
Responsibilities :
Serve as benefits and retirement programs plan administrator.
Analyzes escalated issues, interprets plan documents, and identifies and implements solutions for eligibility, claims, appeals, plan transactions, etc.
Complies with all legal and regulatory requirements to maintain benefit and retirement plans favorable status with the federal government (e.g., 5500 filings, annual or semi-annual audits, etc.)
Interfaces daily with vendors
Conducts new hire benefits orientation, maintains and updates benefits material as needed
Provide support for all aspects related to the Mubea annual enrollment process
Conduct ongoing analysis of benefits and retirement programs
Audit ongoing plan costs, prepare and manage vendor billing, maintain historical costs for annual budgeting, and work with A&F to answer routine questions, identify discrepancies, and capture costs associated with company benefit programs
Participate in cross-functional project teams (e.g., IT, Accounting and Finance) to support program changes, new programs, and/or vendor relationships
Administer additional benefit programs
Assist in the administration of company leave of absence policies coordinated with an outsourced and centralized leave administration Third Party Administrator (TPA)
Administer programs or events promoting preventive awareness and health lifestyle choices, which ultimately provide favorable impact on company benefit programs
Provide support as new programs arise
HRIS administration and activities
Partners with HRIS Specialist to configure new benefit plans and maintain current plans
Manage data to vendors related to benefits, retirement, and absence management programs and analyzes and identifies issues related to data output
Manage reporting of benefit data for organization through HCM system and external analytical tools
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
CBP, PHR, or SPHR designation preferred.
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of benefits and retirement program administration required.
Absence management experience preferred.
Previous work experience with cost and trend analysis preferred.
HRIS system configuration experience preferred.
Corporate and manufacturing setting experience preferred.
