Accounting Director Job Opening in Louisville, Kentucky - A leading international manufacturer of metal products is seeking a dynamic Accounting Director for their Louisville, KY facility. This award-winning company produces high quality products for a variety of industries and was built on the long-term dedication of their employees! Director reports to VP of Finance & IT. This position will provide operational accounting guidance and financial leadership companywide. Competitive salary, excellent benefit package and relocation budget (available if needed). Salary range for the position is $135k - $155k.
Highlighted Duties:
Monitor and project product profitability through the development of monthly forecasts, annual budgets and long range strategic plans
Provide leadership and professional development for accounting staff
Develop and implement corporate initiatives and strategies
Lead inventory accounting companywide
Develop systems to ensure hedge accounting compliance
Oversee all costs systems and LIFO inventory calculations
Develop a metal valuation system
Lead and develop accounting staff
Provide marketing team with current product profitability
Highlighted Requirements:
Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or business
10+ years' experience in manufacturing
Strong cost accounting and inventory valuation methods experience
Excellence leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of SOX compliance
ERP implementation experience a plus
