Sales Engineer Job Opening in Garner, North carolina - Responsible for selling electric motors/generators and motor controllers. This position requires technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to educate and assist customers with applying the products to their needs. The ideal candidate will have exceptional discipline, high attention to detail, intrinsic motivation and a personality that?s comfortable talking to anyone ? executives, managers, engineers, etc. A successful Sales Engineer must be fully capable of taking ownership over client relationships and sales goals, including responding to consistent challenges and going above and beyond as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the main interface to the customer during all phases of business as well as identifying new opportunities with specific customers
Responsible for commercial activities for assigned customers
Provide sales and bookings forecasts for customers as assigned
Interface between the customer and the organization?s Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing groups
Identify and facilitate resolution of critical business issues
Expected to communicate the customer?s requirements within the organization and interface with multiple groups within the organization to ensure customer?s are understood and met
Build cohesive relationships with internal and external customers in all departments and at all levels of the organization
Travel required ? domestic and international (estimate 30%)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NECESSARY:
Must be able to understand electrical and mechanical design drawings
Must be able to work across cultures, previous experience strongly preferred
Flexible schedule required to accommodate business across multiple time zones
High level of interpersonal skills ? ability to work with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to drive results
Proven ability to work under pressure ? managing multiple high priority projects ? while remaining respectful and tactful
Strong communication abilities ? verbal and written
Must be proficient with MS Office
Previous leadership experience and ability to work with little-to-no supervision
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree required (strong preference given to Electrical Engineering, but degrees in Mechanical, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering will also be considered)
