Retail Sales Representative Job Opening in Providence, Rhode island - SUMMARY
Is responsible for selling and merchandising designated products in a defined retail sales territory that includes supermarket chains, co-operatives, and independent stores.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).
Attains shelf management objectives set by principals. Correct Baseline Distribution, Correct OOS Levels, Correct On-Hand Inventory, Replace Shelf Tags, New Items On-Shelf, Product Rotation, Pack-Out of New Items, and Filling OOS
Store Level Program Selling
Maintains customer, client and consumer satisfaction through frequent and consistent store calls
Sells and builds displays in support of feature activity, secondary displays and priority/seasonal items; packs out shelves as required
Develops a close and productive working relationship with appropriate buyers and executives at indirect headquarter accounts
Product Education- Store Personnel / Consumers
Deliver Retail Intelligence Around Competitive Info
Report Local Ad Pricing
Enters all store call data in a timely basis in Merchanteyes handheld system.
Maintains an effective territory route plan.
Is a "team player"; is honest and forthright with management; and works well with peers; adheres in all respects to C.A. Fortune Code of Business Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supermarket management. Ability to write reports and correspond in written form to Retail Management and Principals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, gross profit, proportions and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to read, analyze and interpret plan-o-grams for various categories at given accounts.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license and clean DMV report.
