Accounting/ Bookkeeper Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - Accounting Clerk/Human Resource Clerk (Nashville) Job Description Looking for a great person to join our company in the capacity of a Quick Books bookkeeper, receptionist and support person. Various accounting functions in the areas of human resources, accounts , collections, and other accounting-related clerical duties.
Job Requirements & Expectations
Experience: Need to have at least 3 years experience in Quickbooks and references to support this. This experience needs to include setting up Quickbooks , as we have several companies we operate. Experience in Excel, Word a must. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite would be : Must have a happy, friendly attitude for talking to our customers. We love our customers and want to make sure they know : We need someone that enjoys working on lots of different projects and is willing to jump in and help. You wear the hat we need to in order to get the job done for our clients.
Full time position.
Must have 2+ years of overall accounting experience
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Commitment to ownership of responsibilities and accountability for production
Self-motivated team player with high integrity and strong work ethic
Strong communication skills
Must be a dependable, very organized and willing to take on additional responsibilities
Able to work independently with good time management and multi-tasking skills
Accounts Payable
Assist in the proper receiving of all bills, invoices, and other business expenses
enter all bills on weekly basis to keep updated and accurate
Responsible for collecting vendor information needed to process bills (i.e. -- W9's, licenses, insurance, etc.)
Processing invoices for management's approval and signature
Human Resources
Maintaining employee files and the HR filing system
Effectively communicating with employees and insurance agents regarding benefits
Collections
Prepare monthly statements to customers
Manage timely deposit of all collections received
General Accounting Duties
Manage the filing of all bills, invoices, etc.
Organize and file customer and vendor records
Assist in other clerical functions related to the company bookkeeping
Assist in month-end close and reconciling of accounts for state reporting purposes.
