Health Informatics/Data Analyst Job Opening in Honolulu, Hawaii - Seeking a highly motivated, accountable individual to lead the development and implementation of health data and technology projects. Minimum 5 years experience as a health care organization informatics executive. Should possess an understanding of the Hawaii HIT/HIE landscape and national standards. Must have relationships with health information systems vendors and significant Microsoft suite proficiency. Proven track record in systems design and program management necessary. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a collaborative management style. Advanced Degree in Clinical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field required.
JOB SUMMARY: The Health Informatics Manager will provide strategic vision and lead operations for data and technology initiatives. The Manager is responsible for all aspects of the organization?s information technology and
Lead technology and analytics operational planning for the organization as a member of the management team.
Build and maintain a chronic disease registry and surveillance system to support systemic health initiatives.
Develop analytics and evaluation programs within the organization (goals, objectives, and procedures).
Develop, track, and control the information technology annual budgets.
Keep current with trends and identify/manage information systems and analytics projects, ensuring success and adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
Communicate and advocate for the organization?s IT analytics vision internally & externally.
Manage relationships between external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations.
