RN Educator/Quality/Compliance Manager Job Opening in Hilo, Hawaii - Responsible for monitoring, implementation and evaluation of processes and programs to meet regulatory requirements and standards of practice. Assures compliance with current State and Federal regulations, and Hospice of Hilo policies and procedures. Compiles data, analyzes trends, and presents monthly reports. Identifies and manages strategies for improving excellence in patient care than prepares, implements and facilitates training for clinical staff for the purpose of quality improvement. Assess the learning needs of staff with regard to the patients served and coordinates or delivers appropriate educational offerings. Plans and directs clinical orientation of new staff and assists with planning clinical opportunities for students. Coordinates annual trainings. Ensures processes are in place to monitor and measure all activities related to performance improvement. Educates staffing regarding performance improvement plan and involves staff in performance improvement activities. Understanding of CMS COP's Accreditation Standards, & State Standards. Knowledge of current Medicare, Medicare and third party payer requirements for inpatient reimbursement. Ability to read and comprehend data in order to formulate reports and make presentations to Leadership and Board of Directors. Competent and comfortable with electronic technology and Microsoft Office Suite and other software programs. Ability to create spreadsheets, pivot tables, chart and graphs, etc. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 2 yrs Hospice or nursing experience preferred. Additional experience in home health and/or acute care hospital. Minimum of 2 yrs management experience in healthcare industry with focus on project management and quality improvement plans.
