Sales Engineer Job Opening in Chicago, Illinois - Established and growing Industrial Sales and Service Company seek an Outside Sales rep to develop business by selling actuators, valves, and repair services to power utilities, oil refineries, pipelines, and other energy related companies in the Midwest.
Job Description- Industrial Sales covering Northern Illinois, Northwest Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan
-Diligently train and seek information to become knowledgeable about electric actuators, valves, our repair services and pipeline equipment-Schedule and make appointments with customers and prospects to identify needs, solve problems and creating long term business relationships- Provide the valve and process data needed to quote automation projects - Develop sales strategies to increase market share and develop new alliances with prospects- Act as a customer service contact with existing accounts to build a rapport and increase sales - Follow up with customers after delivery of items or service to insure satisfaction- Act as a liaison between the customers and our company- Prepare and conduct sales presentations using powerpoint- Provide analysis and market intelligence, help establish budgets- Integrate cold calling with scheduled appointments at current customers sites - Job requires 6-8 nights out of town monthly
Job Requirements/ Qualifications: College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience in a related mechanical or electrical field. Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as the Act database. A successful candidate will have experience in building territory sales by building rapport with existing customer while seeking out new prospects. A general knowledge of one of the following markets would be helpful; Power utilities, oil refineries, petroleum pipelines, steel mills or associated equipment relating to valves or piping. A valid driver's license and good driving record, Drug free and dependable. Responsible and able to function independently within a team are offering a salary commensurate with experience and commissions after reaching sales goals.
