Program Manager Job Opening in Traverse City, Michigan - Promethient, Inc. of Traverse City, Michigan is the innovator in the field of Human Scaled Climate Control (HSCC). The Program Manager will help usher Promethient products through development and into volume production for customers in a variety of industries including automotive, off-road, medical devices, apparel and furniture.

Responsibilities:
Clarify and communicate all customer expectations and requirements including but not limited to: timing schedules, engineering requirements, pricing, quality and delivery.
Facilitate regular meetings with the Customer to eliminate roadblocks and ensure all program deliverables are being met on time and within budget.
Meet with the customer on a regular basis to ensure all program deliverables are being met on time and within budget.
Develop and maintain time lines to meet all customer expectations and deliverables.
Maintain master program timing schedule.
Part, Tool and Equipment progress reporting
Coordinate execution of customer requirement with all internal departments at minimum expense
Develop and manage Promethient supply chain partners to ensure quality, delivery & cost targets
Production quote and piece price cost walk.
Financial reporting (plan vs. actual or investment, production prices, manufacturing plan).
Maintain internal and Customer open issues list.
Facilitate inter-departmental and Customers meetings to eliminate roadblocks.
Maintain and report out meeting minutes.
Prepare and present milestone reviews to management (PMA meeting).
Assist and engage in the timely completion of project quotation and delivery.
Assist in obtaining purchase orders for piece price and tooling
Assist accounting in collection of A/R as required.
Develop working relationship with customers that will enhance Promethient?s business opportunities and growth in market share.
Other duties as assigned by the CTO or CEO.
Follow company safety standards to ensure a safe work environment
Required Skills:
Must have thorough knowledge of APQP procedures along with a comprehensive knowledge of automotive program launch requirements.
Understand engineering terminology and ability to read blueprints.
Ability to work with in-house & external engineering to advance programs from development, through PPAP, to production
Thorough working knowledge of Word, Excel, Project & PowerPoint etc.
Familiarity with automotive thermal and electrical testing is preferred.
Parts development and assembly line design experience
Plastics, metals, fastener, joining technology, thermal interface & circuit board familiarity
Poka-yoke knowledge
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience:
Must have a minimum of 5 years professional automotive experience.
Minimum 2 years in a role with direct Customer interaction.
Previous Sales or Program Launch experience preferred.
Thermoelectric device systems experience is strongly preferred
Automotive Seating Systems experience is preferred
Education:
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, and / or 5+ years experience in Engineering, Program Management, Sales or a related field.
