SUMMARY The Mental Health Professional (MHP) provides professional behavioral health clinical services to clients. The MHP is an important part of the treatment team and provides case consultation and assistance to paraprofessionals associated with the client. Services are provided in community-based settings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES ? Provide all services and functions within the ethical standards of their profession and within AO Code of Conduct. ? Adhere to all company policies for employment. ? Provide professional clinical services to AO clients including assessment, referral, treatment planning, counseling, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and follow-up care in the office and in community settings. ? Collaborates with the treatment team to ensure proper coordination and delivery of prescribed interventions and objectives as presented in treatment plan. ? Ensure client receives individualized and age appropriate therapeutic interventions for individual, group, family and case management services as prescribed in the treatment plan. ? Complete all clinical and administrative documentation in a timely and ethical manner and in accordance with AO policies. ? Attend and actively participate in professional staffing sessions with the Regional Director, or Clinical Advisor. ? Be available for individual supervision as required by the regional Director or Clinical Advisor. ? Participate as an after-hours ?on-call? clinician to conduct crisis intervention. ? Provide case consultation and assistance to paraprofessionals associated with the client. ? Meet billable productivity requirements. ? All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Eligibility for this position requires a graduate degree from an accredited graduate program in a behavioral health-related field. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Graduate degrees in Psychology, Social work, Counseling, Marriage and Family, or a Nursing degree with one year supervised behavioral health/experience. All clinicians and registered nurses must be licensed within their professions by their respective Arkansas State Boards.
