Senior Staff Accountant Job Opening in Cromwell, Connecticut - New England Home Care is currently seeking a Full Time Senior Staff Accountant.
Primary Duties include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the month-end close, preparation of the monthly financial statement package, preparing account analysis, supporting work papers, and complex journal entries.
Responsible for reviewing month-end work prepared by the Staff Accountant.
Responsible for backing up all tasks associated with the Payroll process.
Assist with preparation of the annual operating budget.
Assist with Audits and other Regulatory Filings including preparation of audit schedules, support, and analysis as needed prior and during the audits.
Various ad-hoc analysis as required.
All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements:
B S in Accounting with minimum 3-5 years? experience
Proficiency in MS Excel required
Experience with Great Plains Accounting Software preferred but not required
