Role Summary/Purpose: Product Manager
The Product Manager will be responsible for taking new business ideas from concept to prototype to market launch, and is accountable for the development, planning and execution of product strategy and requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
The Product Manager will use external market research as well as client input to drive feature design and execution. The PM bridges the gap between the business and technical teams within CMC by designing features that address marketplace needs and/or differentiating opportunities.
Be creative and curious and continuously recommend new product ideas based on market needs
Prioritize required features, coordinate product schedules with Engineering
Build and maintain an investment roadmap
Monitor and measure launched products and feed learnings back into the product development process
Key specific responsibilities for this role include:
Develop deep understanding of the needs of clients through market and competitive research
Work closely with Business Stakeholders, Developers, Operations and Sales to understand and document product requirements
Translate requirements into user stories for product development
Manage design and development process across internal and external stakeholders
Optimize client user experience through intuition, analysis of quantitative test data and qualitative research. Be an amazing Product Manager
Monitor the health of projects at all times; lead the resolution of cross-functional issues
Establish metrics of product success and monitor results to adjust product strategy
Design and author product documentation such as product announcements, bulletins, or release notes

Academic
Bachelor?s degree in a technical discipline, preferably computer science or computer engineering
MBA or Masters in Information Management, Computer Science or Business Administration preferred.
Functional experience:
Minimum 5 years of Product Management experience designing software applications.
Prior experience at midsized software company highly preferred
Skills and abilities
Proven track record of bringing a product from concept to completion, ideally related to joining together the backend and front-end of an application developed with the user experience in mind
Demonstrated experience at setting Product direction, prioritizing product objectives, developing product roadmaps
Experience developing Product features within the Agile development environment
Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to effectively present project, procedure and status updates and/or proposals to peers and upper levels of management.
Ability to easily communicate technical software topics
Possess strong decision making and prioritization skills; have experience overseeing and managing complex production schedules.
Demeanor: Passionate about user experience; energized to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding the technical architecture of complex web applications and services
Prior experience in software development and/or software product management
Experience in banking or consumer lending, preferably in Collection operations, technology, business development, account management, or strategy.
