Under general direction, the Risk Manager prevents and/or investigates issues of actual and potential risk to the clinic, to patients, and to employee safety. The Risk Manager oversees and conducts root cause analyses, oversees development of corrective action plans, and follows through the implementation of the solution to closure of the case file. Acts as the point of contact for ongoing, legal cases and functions as the contact point for sensitive and confidential consultations with patients and family members. The Risk Manager reviews complaints about the quality of care, including clinical case review. The Risk Manager monitors, investigates, and appropriately responds to occurrence reports and patient grievances. Works closely with Administration to ensure comprehensive program delivery and quality patient care.
Qualifications: RN Degree required
Five years in a medical care delivery organization. Three years of experience in peer review, quality assurance responsibility. Computer experience required.
Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Florida, as well as, licensed/certified as Professional in Healthcare. Risk Management preferred but not required.
Certification in Quality Assurance preferred.
