SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Staff Accountant performs a variety of accounting duties. The ideal candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, and hard working. Most importantly the ideal candidate will be able to maintain a high level of business ethics.
Salary: $65,000 / year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESâ?¯include but are not limited to the following:
Financial statement close process
Balance sheet reconciliations
Billing support
AP vendor reconciliation support
Month end calculations and journal entries
Other tasks as needed
Reporting and analysis
Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
Trend and fluctuation analysis and documentation
Must be strong with excel. Pivot tables, vlookup, logic formulas, etc. Must be comfortable working with large data sets
Process improvement
Process mapping
Designing, testing, and implementing software solutions
Internal audit
Identify anomalies and strange and unusual transactions. Follow up with internal source / department to determine if there are any issues
Must be an effective communicator and able to work as part of a team
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEâ?¯
Four year degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics
2 years of accounting experience working in month end and year end close processes
Proficiency in excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, logic formulas, etc
Construction and solar industry experience a plus
