Vice President of Information Technology Job Opening in Warrendale, Pennsylvania - POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the SVP Solutions Management. The VP IT Development?s primary role is to provide leadership, overall direction, and management in the development and administration of our applications acquisition, development and maintenance in support of our core business objectives, values and culture while maintaining the ability to maximize Information Technology resources.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Master?s degree or equivalent in computer science or a relevant discipline. 15 years? experience in Information Systems roles including a minimum of 7 years at the management level. Detailed understanding of technology, solutions planning and delivery, healthcare drivers, economics, and supply chain management; familiarity with healthcare group purchasing activities preferred; excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must possess superior customer and stakeholder management skills with a focus on collaboration. Prior experience with multi-site, multi-state and multi-function health systems is required. Frequent overnight travel is required.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct and provide leadership to Information Technology teams to ensure applications and data are acquired, implemented, integrated and managed to support the achievement of organizational operational, sales and revenue goals.
Lead the planning, analysis, design, development, implementation and enhancement of new custom business applications, in support of our business requirements.
Develop and communicate goals and objectives, implement policies, standards and procedures for department operations.
Oversee the integration and standardization of custom business applications in support of the organization and provide integration of custom business applications with commercial applications.
Direct the design, development and maintenance of all centrally-managed databases and data warehouses in support of enterprise and commercial application
Drive software development across multiple internal and external teams and phases to ensure that engineering solutions are aligned with business objectives.
Work closely with Project and Product Management teams in identifying, and productizing and delivering best-practice solutions to the healthcare marketplace.
Responsibility for detailed department level financial performance (P&L)
