Printing Press Lead Job Opening in Omaha, Nebraska - Responsible for monitoring production, assisting in Associate training, promoting teamwork, communicating information, ensuring proper maintenance of equipment, and assisting operators in both make ready and run as needed.
· Ensure that production schedules and quality requirements are achieved safely and efficiently and to the satisfaction of customers by
o Monitoring safety, quality, and performance on the production floor ensuring that quality checks are adhered to and followed.
o Assisting operators and trainees in troubleshooting problems and/or difficult production requirements, and making necessary adjustments.
o Monitoring and auditing SOPs.
o Addressing safety concerns immediately.
o Keeping manager and all appropriate parties informed of production and to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
· Ensure that all machinery and equipment are maintained properly by monitoring operator actions of machinery, through preventative maintenance, monitoring maintenance work orders, and general housekeeping of all department machinery.
· Maintain and develop working relationships with external suppliers and customers seeking opportunities for cost advantages for department.
· Comply with and guide department Associates on company policies and procedures regarding safety, food safety, OSHA, personnel issues etc., and coach and train associates to provide a safe, secure working environment that meets the company?s goals and achieves customer satisfaction.
Participate in various projects and programs to ensure the safety of Associates and the quality of customer orders.
Required Skills:
3-5 years leadership experience
8-10 years total work experience
Safety training
Printing knowledge
Understanding of and ability to visually identify color
Large format print experience (40?+ printers)
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Able to use data collection software (Stochos)
Verbal communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Able to perform cost-performance analysis
