Without the incentive of a commission, or the option to attract customers with a lower price, our sales associates must rely on integrity and knowledge to make a sale. In turn, customers are free to shop in a comfortable environment and take solace in knowing that they're getting their vehicle for the absolute best price possible. Job Responsibilities As an Automotive Sales Representative , you will be required to provide the best in customer service and sales assistance to our customers, and to consistently achieve sales goals.
Specific duties for the Automotive Sales Representative include:
Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote oneself to guaranteeing satisfaction to customers
Determine each customer?s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
The ability to select the vehicle that best fits the customer?s needs
Demonstrate new and used vehicles via test-drives
Keep informed of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers
Maintain a high level of knowledge of competitive models and their features, and how they compare to any new or used vehicle in inventory
Knowledge of complete new and used inventory
Follow up with customers after delivery of the vehicle has been completed
Accurately complete all paperwork relevant to the car sale in a timely manner as defined by dealership policy
Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to customers the quality and efficiency of the dealership?s service operations
Have a professional working relationship with the General Sales Manager, Sales Managers, Finance Department, Service Department, Parts Department, other Sales personnel, Service Advisors and the Accounting Office to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of company
Job Requirements As an Automotive Sales Representative , you must have an engaging and high-energy personality and the ability to build rapport and develop trust with customers. You must also have a strong work ethic, work well as part of a team and take pride in the work you do. Candidates must also be familiar with our One-Price Selling Philosophy, which means the customer receives our best price up front on any vehicle, without having to negotiate or haggle.
Specific qualifications for the Automotive Sales Representative position include:
High school diploma or GED
Automotive sales experience preferred
A professional appearance and customer-oriented attitude
Know and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail automotive sales
Must be licensed by the state of Connecticut to sell vehicles
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Must have a valid in-state driver?s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record as per the company?s current insurance carrier?s guidelines
Excellent communication skills
Excellent phone skills
Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
