Commercial Electric custom fabrication: Shop Foreman/Asst. Manager Job Opening in phoenix, Arizona - Commercial Electric custom fabrication: Shop Foreman/Asst. Manager ALS Electrical Manufacturing, INC. is hiring. With 10 years in the custom fabrication business we build electrical enclosures and other needed items for the commercial electrical industry, federal government and military. We are looking for a shop foreman/assistant manager. Duties will include: Supervising fabrication staff, engineering electrical enclosure jobs for fabrication, conducting work flow, managing supplies, tools and equipment. This person will also be in charge of shipping and receiving, some light office work, filling in with hands on fabrication as needed for heavy work loads or absent/tardy employees. Commercial electrician experience is a huge plus and will be reflected in the salary. Some driving may be required in company vehicle. I am looking for just the right person to fill a needed role in our custom sheet metal fabrication shop. Applicant MUST have the following: College level mathematical understanding, primarily in adding, subtracting fractions, conversions between decimals, fractions and metric to standard. Some trigonometry and algebra needed as well. Experience operating heavy machinery and hand tools, preferably related to sheet metal work. Basic computer literacy using email, word processor and internet. Experience managing employees for at least a few years, this position will oversee 3 fabricators, a shop assistant, painter and possibly more in the future. Punctual and responsible, we operate 7 am to 3:30 this position will eventually be 6 am to 3:30 pm Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays. In the custom fabrication arena some jobs require more hours than the work day/week has and we run weekends and nights on occasion. Driver's License High School diploma BONUS: Licensed commercial electrician or prior commercial electrician experience a huge plus and will be reflected in salary.
