Medical Billing Supervisor Job Opening in Rehrersburg, Pennsylvania - PA Adult and Teen Challenge Rehrersburg, PA has a full-time job opening with benefits for a Billing Specialist.
PAATC offers both a faith-based, adult, long-term, residential program and new detox and short term clinical state-licensed treatment programming for men struggling with chemical addiction. We are looking for a Medical Billing Supervisor who will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The Medical Billing Supervisor will be responsible for: Client Billing Management
Insurance:
Oversee the process of billing clients who are funded through insurance providers. Oversee use of Sigmund billing software, ensure that all insurance clients are entered into the system, billing hours are correct and all codes and billing rates are correct.
Oversee Utilization Review Specialist and ensure all coding submitted is correct
Oversee billing of clients with out of network benefits and enter into Sigmund Software.
Submit all billing to clients and insurance agencies in a timely manner and run related reports. Ensure that all payments are received and remittance advices are posted to accounts.
Correspond with representatives of the various insurance providers in addressing billing issues that arise. Managing process of month end reconciliation reporting.
County Contracted Services :
Oversee the process of billing clients who are funded through various county agencies. This is also done using the Sigmund billing software, procedure is similar to the Insurance billing procedure described in 1) above. Additionally, procedures include the processing of certain county documents such as Service Agreement Letters and remittance advice from the county agencies showing payments and denials, with explanations and related codes.
Other:
Responsible for learning and successfully performing other tasks relating to the operations of the Accounting Department to ensure completion of all tasks as directed by the CFO.
Filing copies of billing statements and maintaining client account ledgers
Answer and handle incoming calls as appropriate
Other duties assigned by supervisor or senior management
Serve as lead in all billing functions and tasks.
Perform month end reporting and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to successfully complete background check process.
At least 4 years experience in healthcare billing and collections (submitting claims and collections).
Sigmund experience preferred.
Highest integrity in the handling of financial matters.
Computer skills including typing, 10-key, spreadsheets and general familiarity with database programs.
Ability to learn various software programs to meet the needs of the organization.
Ability to remain on task and accurately follow-through projects to their completion.
Maintain professional standards of conduct and appearance with co-workers and the public.
Must have an appreciation for the mission and values of the ministry.
Ability to maintain sober lifestyle in accordance with organizational code of conduct.
