3PL Sales Executive Job Opening in Elk Grove Village, Illinois - Our client is a boutique 3PL that targets freight forwarders and direct shippers to move domestic freight. They have a small fleet and strong carrier network with reliable service to offer their customers. They move freight all over the country and handle expedited freight, FT and some LTL. They are a privately held company in a strong growth pattern. They have a niche market that allows them to build strong carrier relationships and go after additional business with available capacity.
3PL Sales Executive:
The 3PL Sales Executive is responsible for developing new business through identifying new opportunities, generating sales leads, prospect qualification, soliciting new customers and managing the client account. These individuals will also maintain contact with clients of various sizes, build long-term relationships and handle day-to-day challenges. The 3PL Sales Executive is required to do some traveling visiting clients at their place of business.
Responsibilities:
Lead generation through cold calling and prospecting on a daily basis.
Attract, develop and maintain new business opportunities through outside selling.
Setup meetings and travel to visit clients.
Keep educated on market changes and competitive trends.
Manage pricing and quoting.
Build meaningful customer relationships.
Work closely with other teams to deliver high level of service to customers.
Handle client billing or any related issues as required.
Phone and email correspondence with customers daily.
Continuously gain new accounts while maintaining existing customer base.
Special tasks and assignments as needed.
Experience:
College Education ? An Associate?s Degree (Minimum).
Entry Level to 1 year of experience in 3PL Sales.
Aggressive hunter mentality and tenacious attitude.
Confident and skilled negotiator.
Ability and desire to make daily cold calls.
Strong networker builder.
Proven track record of sales.
Strong communication skills: email, phone and in-person etiquette a MUST.
Multi-tasker.
Self-motivated.
Work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
May be required to work some weekends as needed.
