Sales, Service and Underwriting Coordinator Job Opening in Honolulu, Hawaii - Primary Responsibilities: Performs effective underwriting principles in Personal Lines to ensure controlled profitable growth. Sells automobile, homeowners, and renters insurance products to individuals using consultative selling techniques. Counsels and advises prospects and policyholders on matters of protection and coverage. Provides policyholders timely, accurate and responsive information and service for DTRIC products, plans and programs. Applies knowledge of policies, procedures and processes to solve problems of limited scope and complexity.
Essential Functions:
Underwrites and evaluates book of business within established guidelines.
Assures rate adequacy for risk selection and continuance on risk. Evaluates, reviews, and monitors underwriting processes i.e., new business, changes, renewals, reinstatements, cancellations for proper rate and classification.
Researches and responds to underwriting and service issues effectively from the contact center staff within the established time frame.
Reviews, audits, binds and approves new contact center business policies (including umbrella) prior to submission.
Performs sales and service quality assurance audits of contact center transactions.
Provides excellent customer service over the telephone, in person, or correspondence.
Attends off-site client visits and events, in an effort to build customer relationships in support of business partners.
Provides administrative support to the Contact Center staff.
Trains new employees in a classroom environment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Personal lines underwriting experience in insurance preferred.
Minimum 3 years? experience in customer service and 3 years of sales experience required.
Contact Center experience highly preferred.
Other requirements:
P&C Insurance Producer license for the State of Hawaii is required.
If the new hire does not have an active P&C license upon hire, it must be obtained within the first month of employment.
P&C license must remain in active status.
Valid driver?s license, access to a vehicle and clean driving abstract.
