Centers Health Care, the largest post-acute healthcare continuum in the Northeast, is rapidly growing and we?re looking for a Copywriter to join our Marketing team.
We?re looking for an experienced copywriter who is equally comfortable writing blog entries for the CEO, B-to-B and B-to-C collateral, billboards, print ads, news releases and everything in between. Our health care continuum includes more than 30 nursing homes in three states, home health care, managed care and much more. You will work on all of it.
Our ideal candidate needs to be skilled in concept development and execution. Health care background is not required, but the ability to write powerfully and connect with audiences on an emotional, grass roots level is critical.
You will need to be a well organized self-starter who is able to work collaboratively with our Creative Director and others, articulate, and friendly. The Copywriter will report directly to the Head of Marketing. This position is located in our Bronx NY headquarters, so you must be comfortable commuting to this office.

Responsibilities:
Write copy for various projects that is targeted, compelling and understandable.
Meet stringent deadlines
Concept with other members of the department, creating ideas that are new, powerful, and in support of the brand
Research assignments inside and outside of the company which may include internet, personal calls and interviews and other resources
Proof all copy and press proofs
Manage work flow and constantly shifting deadlines and priorities
Be a problem solver
Be able to quickly develop an understanding of a variety of audience targets: medical professionals, social workers, and consumers from every walk of life
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in marketing, journalism, advertising, English or a related discipline
Healthcare experience or desire to work in healthcare strongly strongly preferred but not necessary
2-4 years of writing experience, preferably in an ad agency environment but not required
Outstanding portfolio of published and non-published work
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling, structure and organization
Must be organized and can meet deadlines
Strict attention to details
