CPA/Staff Accountant Job Opening in San Jose, California - Growing San Jose CPA firm seeks CPA/Staff Accountant with minimum of five years experience. Should have significant experience in individual income tax preparation as well as tax preparation for corporations, LLC's, etc.
Responsibilities include :
Prepare complex tax returns for various individual tax situations, including working-papers in accordance with firm policies
Prepare "year-end work, working papers, etc."? and tax returns for various business clients, including corporations, partnerships, LLC's, and trusts
Reviewing bookkeeping and accounting necessary to support tax return preparation including accrual to cash, tax only (M-1) entries, and related supporting workers
Be able to communicate issues encountered, and appropriate actions to take
Position is part-time up to full-time
Experience and Knowledge required :
Should be a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California
Proficiency with Lacerte tax preparation software a plus
Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and some experience with QuickBooks
Should have experience in accounting for small businesses
