Sr. Embedded Software Engineer_Tuner or Receiver Experience... Job Opening in Atlanta, Georgia - We are looking for couple of candidates to work for this global client.
The candidate will be working for the Multimedia domain software product line. The candidate is responsible for assuring the multimedia solutions are successfully integrated into the Infotainment head unit product, give direction to development teams to develop new features, debug defects and write unit level test frameworks and test cases. This position require strong project management skills including planning, tracking to that plan, and communicating status to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Work with global software development teams to develop new features, debug defects and write test cases for unit testing
Work with suppliers to analyze requirements and develop interfaces to other modules
Lead and/or participate in meetings within the company and with customers for design reviews and to track project status
Evaluate new software releases from suppliers to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria
Co-ordinate software development activities with other software teams
Keep abreast of new technologies and methods for the purpose of recommending changes that will benefit current and future customer programs
Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields
Follow the domain lead direction for design & implementation, and apply best practices.
Education:
Four-year college degree in Software, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related degree required.
Travel:
5 ?10% of the year
Experience:
5+ years of full lifecycle embedded software development experience in a relevant product design;
2+ years leading a team of software engineers with a formal development process such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or Extreme Programming;
1+ year experience integrating or developing multimedia projection software such as Apple Car Player, or Google Automotive Link, or Baidu Carlife, etc;
1+ year experience planning software design and development in a global engineering organization;
Proficient with C, C++ and OOD;
Experience in designing, developing and debugging software in a real-time embedded environment;
Experience mentoring and motivate team members;
Working knowledge of Software Configuration Management (SCM) systems ;
Working knowledge of a SDLC ;
Desired Experience:
Scrum Master experience using AGILE methodology;
Project management experience using WaterFall methodology;
Scrum Master Certified;
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification strongly preferred.
with Agile project management ;
Working knowledge of the IBM Jazz/RTC environment;
Working knowledge of IDE?s including Eclipse.
