Staff Accountant Job Opening in Houston, Texas - We are currently seeking an entry level Staff Accountant for SUN Behavioral Houston, a free-standing 148 bed facility inpatient behavioral health hospital . SUN Behavioral Houston offers inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors; including mental health, chemical dependency and specialty programs. Â We offer an excellent benefit package for full-time employees. This position reports directly to the facility Chief Financial Officer.
Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience with accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, auditing, and financial statement analysis. Must be a team player with excellent computer, communication and organization skills.
Job duties:
Responsible for the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll for 300+ employees
Prepare daily staffing, forecasting and variance reports for the CFO
Code, enter and pay approved invoices for bi-weekly check run
Setup new vendors, maintain W-9 file and process annual 1099's
Sales tax filing
Prepare general ledger entries for CFO approval during the end of month closing process
Post approved journal entries
Financial statement analysis
Assist with month-end close duties as assigned
