Summary: The candidate will assume an analyst role that is responsible for multiple testing duties to move changes through to a successful production implementation. The candidate will become an expert in existing web applications, create use cases and test cases and perform functional application testing from multiple browsers and mobile devices.
Responsible for Quality Assurance department and staff. Implement standard operating procedures and develop objectives for quality department to ensure the overall quality of the company?s software applications. Provide proper testing tasks and policies to assure that developed products meet design specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create Use Case and Functional Specification documentation for existing web applications
Create test scripts based on Use Case scenarios
Perform complex functional, application and integration testing
Perform web application testing via multiple browser and mobile devices
Work closely with development and project management teams while providing support to track, report, and verify bugs.
Create functional requirements documentation for new features and functionality
Requirements/Skills:
Bachelor?s Degree in related field preferred or equivalent education and experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance as an analyst and tester
Strong documentation skills and experience creating functional specifications, use cases and test cases
Experience testing web and mobile applications
Experience in requirements analysis, application testing, system testing, software quality assurance and IT quality assurance
Experience writing use cases, test scripts and execute
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle
Strong analytical and excellent problem solving skills
Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test management tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
Previous experience with educational software a plus

Job Type: 3 mo. Contract to Full-time-Perm, Work in Marietta office 3-days week, Work from Home 2-days a week. No Relocation Offered, MUST LIVE IN ATLANTA AREA (will not be considered outside of ATLANTA area);
