Payroll Assistant Job Opening in Melville, New york - Achieve Beyond is a growing national agency focused on serving children with special needs by providing autism services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and other related services. We are currently looking to hire a Payroll Coordinator in our Melville office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for working closely with the payroll manager to process the payroll on a bi-weekly basis:
Responsible for but not limited to:
Process payroll biweekly
Closes payroll in Sage Time and Attendance
Sends ACH file to the bank and do positive pay for all the checks
Set up new employees to Time & Attendance
Prepare OT Reports for all companies
Upload all payroll taxes to ADP (service organization that processes taxes)
Update new hires, tax exempt, direct deposits, and change forms in the payroll software
Bank reconciliations for two payroll bank accounts
Run ad hoc reports for management upon request
Prepare and sends out Benefit Head counts report to accounting
Processing the 401K and send payments to Vanguard
Process NY Disability and sends payment to Guardian every quarter
Enter and process reimbursements, bonuses, and refunds
Process the garnishments and send checks
Answer Time & Attendance tickets
Calculates sick leave hours for W2 Hourly providers, if requested
Process check requests or advance payments
Assist Payroll Manager with some Special projects and Audit
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required knowledge and skills:
General Payroll processing knowledge
Background in working with Microsoft Excel
2-3 years? experience in a related field
Other Requirements:
Strong data entry and computer skills.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
General Math Skills.
Extreme attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Able to analyze situations and problem solve independently.
Strong Organizational skills, and able to multi-task.
Salary: $40,000 - $45,000
