Camp Positons Job Opening in fayetteville, Arkansas - Camp Positons Discover the Great Summer Camps of Girl Scouts ? Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas! Girl Scouts ? Diamonds serves girls between the ages of 6 and 17 at four different summer camp locations in Arkansas. At camp, girls have the opportunity to swim, hike, canoe, rock climb, kayak, bike, and learn new outdoor skills, archery and crafts, not to mention go on road trips and travel throughout the state. More importantly though, they have the opportunity to experience new things, meet new people, increase their self-reliance, and build self- confidence. (Our camp staff seems to have similar experiences!) Girl Scouts ? Diamonds seeks energetic, creative, responsible, motivated staff to help build, believe in, and belong to our camp community and help campers learn to do the same. Qualified individuals must have a love of children, be willing to live and work outdoors, and have a desire to learn and grow. Preferred applicants are at least 18 years old except where otherwise specified, have some experience working with children and/ or working outdoors. Must have good judgment, maturity, patience and sense of humor. All positions include room and board, paid training and certifications, excellent opportunities to practice and develop new skills, and valuable experiences to add to your resume. Salary is dependent on position and responsibilities, with salaries starting at $1200 for Unit Counselors. Staff should be available May 31 through the first week of August . POSITIONS AVAILABLE Unit Counselors assist the Unit Leader in identifying the needs and interests of individual campers and working with the staff team to accommodate them. Interact directly with campers in day-to-day activities. Maintain camp health and safety standards. FLORAL, AR; HUNTSVILLE, AR Riding Instructors (16 and up) teach girls horseback riding as well as assisting in all other areas of the riding program, such as safety management, program development, herd management, and equipment care and repair. FLORAL, AR Cook prepares one to two meals a day and oversees the kitchen assistants and kitchen operations during hours of duty. Prepares a range of cold and hot main and side dish food options and snacks, following nutritional guidelines for a balanced diet and ensuring that any special dietary requirements are met.
