Corporate Controller Job Opening in New York, New york - POSITION OVERVIEW: TriPlay is looking for a Controller to lead its accounting objectives and serve as a key member of the finance team. The role will be a crucial part of the day-to-day, month-end, & year-end finance duties, as well as a critical support of the company?s growth strategy. We are looking for an excellent team player who is looking to work hard and have fun.
WHAT YOU WILL BE IN CHARGE OF:
· Directly managing all accounting related matters and being able to explain results and trends.
· Issuing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including reviewing prior periods? figure.
· Ensure that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and properly maintained.
· Managing and maintaining accurate ledger, records, and various reporting
· Various ad-hoc assignments & responsibilities, assigned based on specific skills and experience.
· Aid-in in the tax preparation process and liaison with US and UK auditors and accounting firm in regards to such matters.
· Manage government agency matters, as needed.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· 5-10 years of experience in a controller, senior accountant or auditor.
· BA Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
· Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and an ability to implement them
· Experience with Great Plains/Dynamics and Quickbooks accounting systems a plus
· Significant experience creating, maintaining company financial statements.
· Desire to lead, willing to be an individual contributor, team player, taking initiative
· Ability to multi-task & pivot priorities.
· Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically advanced excel skills
· Excellent communication skill
