Operations Analyst
The Dalton School seeks a full-time Operations Analyst for the Business Office. The primary responsibilities for the position include reviewing and auditing invoices and expense reports, recording all purchasing and expense records, and ensuring prompt processing and payment.
Responsibilities : Individual oversees the day-to-day administration of the Dalton?s accounts payable function. This includes but is not limited to the following:
Opening and sorting mail and handling and processing emails
Reviewing and matching documentation presented in support of payment requests
Ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and appropriately authorized
Applying general ledger account coding to match and record expense payments
Entering information to the Accounts Payable software module
Generating and distributing checks to vendors and employees
Filing documentation and organizing payment records
Reviewing and reconciling vendor statements
Maintaining good working relationships with vendors
Resolving discrepancies with vendors
Preparing schedules and reports to track costs for key expense categories
Managing the corporate credit card program
Generating and distributing 1099?s
Fulfilling other duties as needed to support the members of the Business Office
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree. Degree in Accouting a plus
Technical proficiency in areas related to accounts payable
Effective verbal and written communication with faculty, staff, and vendors
Superior attention to detail, with the ability to follow through with task objectives
Exercise time management and organizational skills in order to meet deadlines
Make decisions, resolve problems and identify opportunities for process improvement
Proficiency in utilizing Excel and basic computer functions
General understanding of basic accounting and business operations
Willingness to assist with projects outside areas of primary responsibility and learn functions performed by other staff
Proficiency and fluency with Financial Edge a plus
