Administrative Assistant Job Opening in Merritt Island, Florida - Veritas InCare d.b.a. Cedar Creek Assisted Living believes in bringing Passion, Caring, & Respect to Assisted Living. We are seeking a dedicated, experienced, outgoing Administrative Assistant to join our caring and compassionate management team. Job duties consist of (but not limited to):

Census, Billing and Accounts Receivable
Collates census information from separate buildings, ensures the accurate and timely reporting of the census in the Billing system. Reconciles census on a daily basis to ensure accuracy.
Is responsible for the timely collection of all accounts receivable. Follows up directly with slow payors and initiates collection actions with the assistance of the Executive Director.
Payroll
Collates, verifies, obtains final approval from Executive Director, and submits all payroll hours to supporting payroll office.
Maintains accurate Associate records.
Tracks and the Primary point of Contact for associate benefits.
Accounts Payable
Accurately codes, verifies goods and services rendered. Ensures all invoices are properly approved, copied for record purposes.
-Validates the spend down process for compliance to budget and projections.
Ensures all financial reports are correct and submitted timely.
Supervisory Responsibilities for supervised associates:
Makes daily work assignments.
*Directs the work of assigned associates.
Schedules lunch and rest breaks
Authorizes overtime.
Reassigns associates as needed to meet the needs of the community.
Prepares written evaluations of assigned associates.
Enforces facility policies with authority to issue disciplinary action as per policy.
Validates time records.
Interviews applicants that will be assigned to his/her area of responsibility.
Receives and handles associate complaints.
*Participates in training programs and assists in orientation of new staff.
May assist with resident care on an as needed basis.
Coordinates financial reporting and tax preparation with designated supporting office.
Maintains associates personnel files and training records per policy
HIPAA
Follows and adheres to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA
requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information.
Uses and/or discloses only minimum amount of Protected Health
Ensures all financial reports are correct and submitted timely.
Participates in training programs and assists in orientation of new staff.
May assist with resident care on an as needed basis.
Maintains associates personnel files and training records per policy
Information necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Marketing and tours
Weekend and Holiday rotation required
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Education & Experience sufficient to meet expectation of duties
First level accounting, basic booking, or prior long-term care bookkeeping/ accounting
Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Strong organization and communication skills
Ability to properly relate and interact with residents, families, and visitors of our community with a positive attitude and demeanor
Previous Senior Living Management experience
2 years of supervisory experience, managing and staffing
