Ä Follows the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
Ä Informs the supervisor if quality control is out of limits.
Ä Documents all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.
Ä Logs in specimen, keeps accurate records, prepares and transmits reports clearly and completely.
Ä Reports tests results in the proper format.
Ä Insures that work transferred between shifts is problem free; knows when workload allows time for projects.
Ä Demonstrates confidence when approaching and performing tasks.
Ä Treats all patient information, including tests results, confidentially; does not talk indiscreetly about test results of patients.
