About the Opportunity

We need a talented individual to fill the potential role of Instructional Systems Specialist in support of the 711th Human Performance Wing?s mission to design and develop standardized Base Operational Medical Clinic (BOMC) processes in the Dayton, OH (WPAFB) area. In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of activities, to include, but not limited to:
Understanding and ability to work across all components of the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Guide, Implement, and Identify) Instructional Systems Design model.
Provide effective, just-in-time training solutions that support rapid prototyping (6-12 weeks) and evaluation of workflows by representative users.
Provide effective training solutions for near term deployment (2-6 months) of validated workflow packages to medical treatment facilities across the Air Force Medical Service.
Provide effective training solutions for clinical trainers (train the trainer) and evaluators (train the tester) supporting near term deployment of validated work packages.
Create mid-term (1-3 years) plans and requirements for a training system to achieve and sustain team performance on HPP2025 workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate-level degree that includes study in at least four of the following five areas: Learning theory, Instructional design practices, Educational assessment, Instructional product creation, or Computers in education and training.
Five (5) years of experience in instructional systems design.
Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines and be an effective team player.
Proficiency in the following applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and one or more of the following: Adobe Captivate, Flash, HTML/Javascript, and SurveyMonkey.
Ability to write effectively copy, instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts.
Candidates must be U.S. Citizens.
Candidates will be subject to a National Agency Check (NAC) with written inquiries.
Desired Qualifications
Professional certification in Learning & Performance (ASTD) or Certified Performance Technologist (ISPI)
Two (2) years of instructional systems design experience applied in the healthcare sector.
