Grandview Analytics is a boutique, Chicago-based consulting firm that exclusively serves the financial services industry. We were founded in 2014 and have quickly built an impressive team that is led by financial services experts. We provide project based consulting resources to solve complex business process, data management, and technology challenges for banks, investment managers, financial technology firms, and fund administration companies.
Grandview has a rapidly growing client list and and is seeking to add additional members to lead these new and exciting client engagements. We seek people who are business and tech-minded with experience in project management, business analysis and data management. It's a very exciting time for Grandview as we are gaining a lot of traction with our technology solutions offering.
We are currently seeking Software Developer who is interested in joining our entrepreneurial team. Candidates must be passionate about technology and data and have experience working in the financial services industry.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop custom software applications for Grandview?s clients
Contribute ideas to the strategic direction of the Grandview technology platform
Remain current with, and apply, the latest technology and information security best practices
Manage offshore resources to ensure productivity, collaboration, and quality
Instill industry best practices around code documentation and testing
Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years software development experience in Java
Must be able to work independently to research and solve complex problems from both business and technology perspective
Must have an interest in entrepreneurship and contributing to the growth of a new business
Must have strong desire to work within a collaborative and high-paced work environment along with ability to work overtime on a regular basis
Must be organized, motivated to meet strict deadlines, and always willing to go above and beyond for clients and colleagues
Experience with back-end development as well as the following technologies:
Java
AWS or similar cloud-based experience
Database Architecture: Postgres
NoSQL
Agile methodology: Scrum, extreme programming
Exposure to DevOps
Experience with MicroService API design
Experience working with offshore team * Good communication skills along with consulting / client engagement experience
Preferred experience in Investment Management, Banking, Fund Accounting, Private Equity or other Financial Services role
