Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate financial information for specific areas of payroll, accounts payable, deposits, reports and the general ledger. This information supports effective fiscal planning, reporting, attainment of strategic goals and objectives of the organization, and provides current financial statements of the organization?s performance. Duties include but are not limited to: Timely and accurate completion of Payroll Processing Reporting and communications; completion of Payroll reports, such as Full Time Equivalent report, Productivity reports and any other reports needed in relation to payroll; Coordinating the Accounts Payable capturing and reporting and entering of the Community Benefit data monthly; entering and sending bills/claims for colleagues and vendors; participating in Community Benefits calls and meetings; participating in the Internal Audit compliance duties; assisting in the development of new Finance Policies or Procedures as needed. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future expenses and payroll exposure, and other duties as assigned.
: Two years accounting experience required, Payroll experience preferred. Minimum of an Associate degree in Accounting required. Courses that must have been completed include of Accounting I and II and Intermediate Accounting I and II. Special skills include knowledge of computer payroll and accounting systems, microcomputers, and written and oral communication of financial information and knowledge of healthcare industry accounting practices. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future expenses and payroll exposure. Works under general supervision.
