Protect Michigan's enviorment Help protect Michigan's public health and environment! Right now, Congress is working on legislation that would attack our air and water quality in Michigan. We need to fight back! In the past several months, Congress has been attacking the EPA ? taking away their ability to regulate air and water pollution. Without an effective EPA, we?ll see huge increases in toxic emissions. Our communities? health will suffer, and our water quality ? the fresh water in the Great Lakes ? will drastically decline. That?s why Clean Water Action is working to defend the EPA?s ability to hold major? polluters accountable. We?re standing up for our health and our water, and we need your help! Clean Water Action is Michigan's largest grassroots environmental organization, with over 250,000 members in the state. We are currently hiring and training community organizers to join our staff, both for summer and long term positions. Candidates should have strong verbal communication skills and an interest in politics, non-profits, or environmental issues. We offer extensive training as well. Compensation and Benefits: Full-time: 1:30pm - 10:30pm, $375/wkly, plus bonuses; Benefits available at 3 and 6 months; Part-time also available (3 days a week - you pick the days that work for you!)
