Katahdin Valley Health Center is seeking a Family Nurse Assistant to provide quality medical care to the residents of Brownville, Maine and the surrounding area. Part of the Three Rivers Community, The Maine Highlands and home of Maine?s largest lake, Mooshead, Brownville is situated between 2 beautiful lakes, 45 miles north of the Greater Bangor Region (Maine's 3rd largest city) where you can find an array of historic and cultural experiences, culinary and craft delights, seasonal festivals, agricultural fairs, world class concerts on the Bangor waterfront, the University of Maine's International Performing Arts Center, and Bangor International Airport.
Providers joining KVHC will provide outpatient primary care and family medicine, M-W-F, 8am ? 5pm; Tuesday, 8am - 1pm, and Thursday, 11am - 7pm, with no nights, weekends, or holiday coverage. Call coverage is limited and rotated between all KVHC Providers. This position requires knowledge, experience and active support for rural, community oriented primary care. Primary health care includes: health promotions; prevention of disease and disability; health maintenance; rehabilitation; identification of health problems; management of health problems; and referral under the direction of a supervising physician. The FNP/PA will practice medicine within the scope of their licensure and, under the Supervision of a KVHC Physician. KVHC offers state of the art facilities, technology, and utilizes Athena Health Electronic Health Records system.

KVHC offers integrated, comprehensive, and affordable healthcare for the entire family through six Patient Centered Medical Homes. Katahdin Valley Health Center is a National Committee for Quality Assurance Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) as well as an accredited PCMH organization through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care since January of 2014. In this position the FNP/PA will be part of KVHC?s Integrated Clinical Care Team to ensure effective and quality care is given to all patients.
:
FNP - Graduation from a NLN accredited Nurse Practitioner program, MSN preferred, Active State of Maine License, BLS, ACLS.
PA - Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Active State of Maine License, BLS, ACLS.
Salary/Benefits:
Competitive Salary and Benefits package, and generous time off. Negotiable sign on bonus, relocation - actual cost with $5,000 cap, $1,500 annually and one week paid time towards Continuing Medical Education. Health Insurance coverage for Provider paid at 100%; Family Plan paid at 80%, Short and Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance paid 100% by KVHC for provider. Dental benefit for provider and family, FTCA Malpractice Insurance Coverage at no cost to provider.
