Inside Sales Representative Job Opening in Elgin, Illinois - Position Overview:
This position is accountable for supporting sales and profitability goals. This role is also responsible for the customer satisfaction and increasing market share in the United States.
Inside Sales Representative Job Duties:
Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
Comfortable and effective communicating with potential customers (telephone, email, and written communications)
Understand customer needs and requirements
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
Maintain and expand database of prospects
Team with direct sales team and partners to build pipeline and close deals
Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities
Perform effective demos to prospects
Achieves objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans resolving problems; identifying trends;
Supports distributor / dealer network to ensure proper sales coverage in key markets. Provide ongoing support to distributor / dealer network ensuring sales objectives are achieved.
Maintains and expands customer base and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
Assists with tradeshows, sales trials, and demonstrations.
Reporting:
Reports to the Managing Director
Education and Professional Experience:
Proven inside sales experience
Track record of exceeding goals.
BS/BA with high affinity to relevant technical products and applications
Approximately 5 years inside sales experience (preferred)
Competent in Microsoft Office Products
Excellent established contacts as it pertains to large chains and key accounts in the gastronomic environment (preferred)
Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to plan and execute sales strategies efficiently
Skills and Specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (via telephone and face to face)
Problem solving and analytical ability
Ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to work in a quick paced environment
Ability to travel as required by role (30 % travel)
