Risk Manager Job Opening in South Bend, Indiana - The Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying and analyzing risks within the organization. The Risk Manager owns the process of identifying, measuring and managing insurable or hazard risks, developing reports and plans, and analyzing risk issues. This position will also oversee all risk departments and the implementation of risk solutions that help optimize operations and reduce/control the cost of risk.
Position Responsibilities
Investigates injuries to determine cause and potential preventative actions.
Oversees Risk Management Team
Monitors and analyzes risks within company and reports these to Senior Executives
Develops risk prevention tools, practices, and policies according to a defined risk and safety culture.
Develops and updates risk policies and strategies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, rating agency standards, and strategic imperatives of the organization.
Seeks ways to optimize and communicate risk controls and safety training within the organization as a competitive business advantage.
Reviews and analyzes risk management programs for the effectiveness of coverage and to reduce costs and losses
Acts as liaison to attorneys, insurance companies and individuals

Teamwork ? supports needs of corporate and branch personnel in conjunction with Project Manager, maintains a positive, professional attitude
Time ? exercises strong time management skills and shifts priorities as needed
Organization ? completes invoice tracking sheets and keeps front desk files in good order so that Accounting and Project Manager can easily access/understand information
Self-Directed ? Works with minimal supervision, continuously strives to grow in skill set and take initiative, makes suggestions for process improvements
Other Skills and Functions
Qualifications:
Experience in staffing industry a plus
Bachelor?s degree in related field a plus
3-5 years in risk management position
Preferred Certifications:
Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
Certified Risk Manager (CRM)
Professional Risk Manager (PRM)
Risk and Insurance Management Society Fellow (RIMS Fellow)
Position Qualifications - KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Typing (45 wpm or more)
Microsoft Office proficient, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
High School Diploma/GED
