JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/ Objective
This position will perform accounting functions as well as financial transactions. Will assist in functions related too operating MEMG office operations, including but not limited to filing, generating reports, taking customer payments, and assisting in online programs.
Position Summary
Support senior level office staff with administrative, bookkeeping, clerical, and accounting duties. Responsible for customer billing and posting payments using accounting software and systems. Code payments, type memos, prepare accounting reports, and assist with account payable records. Communicate with customers, vendors, and office staff to resolve outstanding payments and clarify issues related to accounting policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities
Performs clerical accounting duties involving routine and non-routine calculations and analysis, reconciliations, verifications, and postings while ensuring accuracy and validity in the accounting processes.
Maintains and processes accounting transactions to assist with accurate financial reporting.
Communicates with others within the department or outside of the work area (employees, customers, suppliers).
Reconciles accounts, identifies discrepancies found, and provides the corrective action to be taken.
Assist with new item set-up, new customer set-up, and new vendor set-up.
May assist with month end close activities and preparing financial exhibits.
Other various duties and tasks as assigned.
