Hadoop Developer Job Opening in Tulsa, Oklahoma - What is the position?
This is a Hadoop Developer position that will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting system components.
What will you do?
As a Hadoop Developer, you will:
Develop time estimates for project deliverable, advise management of risks, issues, or concerns, and provide knowledge transfer to team members.
Collaborate with end users and project team members in development of requirements, design, and testing of applications.
Assist business users and team members on issue resolution and problem solving
Develop, implement, and administer through a Big Data platform
Promote opportunities for enhancements and process improvements
Follow coding standards and best practices to develop code and check code quality.
Share developed code and any test results with supervisor for review.
Rework on the code based on inputs if required.
Perform complex integration.
Guide the developers in identifying, preparing and conducting unit test cases and fixing defects based on results.
Conduct technical troubleshooting.
Conduct reviews for codes created by team.
What are the requirements?
5+ years of experience in Hadoop
Experience with using software engineering practices to develop enterprise applications - Java, Spring, XML, JDBC/JPA/Hibernate
Experience in Hadoop development and administration, including managing and tuning Hadoop cluster and its ecosystem components (e.g., Hive, Pig, Spark, HDFS, Sqoop, Flume, Zookeeper, Kafka, HAWQ, NiFi)
Strong SQL and database knowledge (Oracle preferred)
Experience in Linux (administration, networking, and security)
Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize, and plan work to satisfy established timeframes
Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
Must be self-motivated and take initiative
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
