Job Description
A clinical instructor is responsible for clinical supervision, teaching, and evaluation of studentsin the Associate?s Degree Nursing Program. The position is for clinical supervision under thedirection of a didactic lead faculty member with participation in all aspects of the nursingprogram. The clinical instructor functions as a team member within the nursing faculty. Clinicalassignments may include overnight travel and evening and weekend schedules.
Qualifications
Faculty is responsible for the following:
Attends a faculty orientation session.
Conducts assigned labs or clinicals.
Monitors student performance in accordance with course objectives and published schedules under the direction of course lead instructor.
Assists students with study problems and with evaluating their potential for in course or discipline.
Maintains accurate attendance and performance records of students, and submit required reports according to published deadlines.
Maintains expertise in online delivery systems to increase communication betweenfaculty and students.
Attends nursing faculty meetings and other faculty activities as required by the Program Manager
Job Specifications:
MSN preferred (will consider BSN or an earned graduate degree with a major in nursing and 2 yrs experience in nursing practice;
Current, active, unencumbered Utah RN or APRN license or multi-state privilege to practice nursing in Utah if teaching clinicals in the state;
Experience in teaching in a nursing program and experience in curriculum development are preferred.
