Licensed Clinical Social Worker Job Opening in Salt Lake City, Utah - Wasatch Homeless Health Care, dba Fourth Street Clinic, is seeking an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) interested in working in a progressive behavioral health program. Medical and behavioral healthcare teams ensure patients have access to a wide array of behavioral health resources through screening, assessments and counseling. LCSWs act as treatment providers and advocates, helping clients gain access to resources while addressing their behavioral health needs, including mental illness and substance use disorders
Duties & Responsibilities
The following information is intended to be representative of the essential functions performed by incumbents in this position and is not all-inclusive.
Provide individual and group therapy and counseling for patients with mental health and substance abuse disorders.
Perform ASAM clinical assessments to inform treatment planning, goal setting, and referrals to outside entities for higher levels of care.
Assist clinic staff and work with clients that present in crisis by providing crisis management, treatment assessing safety, and creating safety plans.
Assist in resolving identified patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
Assures quality of care by adhering to evidence based practice, therapeutic standards, and standards of care set by state board of licensing, mental health professional practice act, social worker licensing act, and other governing agency regulations.
Supervision for both CSW and Students of Social Work as needed.
Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of all clinical encounters in the clinic?s electronic health record.
Maintain patient confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
Necessary skills/attributes
Competency in multiple psychotherapy modalities and evidence based theoretical frameworks including but not limited to: harm reduction, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), trauma informed care (TIC) cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), seeking safety, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Demonstrate excellent communication skills and be capable of working with diverse populations
Interact and collaborate with professionals from many different social service and government agencies.
Demonstrate emotional resilience and stability since the work often involves dealing with crises.
Ability to work quickly when needed and be flexible with scheduling, must be able to remain calm in tense and/or chaotic situations.
Supervisory Relationships
The BHI licensed clinical social worker will report to the Clinical Behavioral Health Director.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited master?s program in Social Work and licensed in the State of Utah.
BLS Certified within 90 days of hire
Two years minimum practicing as an LCSW
Association of Social Work Board (ASWB) Clinical Level Exam.
Five years of experience working with behavioral health populations.
4,000 hours of clinical social work and mental health therapy training.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Must be able to pass a background check
