Human Resources Administrator Job Opening in Grandville, Michigan - Job Summary
In search of an experienced HR Administrator who will be responsible for applying human resources knowledge and expertise to implement and administer HR policies and procedures. The candidate will provide support and guidance regarding personnel transactions, benefits, records management, talent acquisition, EEO compliance, and other human resources related tasks.
Job Description:
Write and place job advertisements on job boards, newspapers, social media, and other methods to attract talent.
Establish and manage recruiting, testing and interviewing programs
Perform reference and background checks
Onboard new hires by providing orientation, new hire/benefit paper work, and work station set-up
Research and ensure that policies and procedures comply with federal and state law, including W-4 and I-9 forms
Administer benefit programs and annual open enrollment for health, dental, vision, life, and flexible spending
Communicate benefit details and options to new hires and all employees during annual open enrollment
Track paid time off
Manage FMLA and other leave programs
Review and assemble annual healthcare renewal benefit options and present to management
Respond to manager requests and inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
Provide training to managers to help coach and discipline employees according to policy
Research personnel management software packages
Update and maintain personnel records including employee benefits, personnel transactions, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations
Responsible for reporting of Affirmative Action Program and EEO compliance
Assist the Operations Manager with weekly payroll and submittal of certified payroll reports
Attend educational workshops, read professional publications, and participate in human resource societies to maintain knowledge and expertise
Schedule and help conduct exit interviews with managers and recommend organizational changes
Administer 401K plan by updating employee contribution changes weekly, track employee 401K loans, work with 401K platform on annual compliance, and 5500 forms
Work with Cimplx on ACA compliance tracking and filing 1095 and 1094 forms annually
Knowledge and Skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team player with the ability to successfully interact with peers and leadership
Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources
3+ years? experience in HR Administration
