Job Summary
ECO Waste & Recycling, a start-up experiencing explosive growth, is seeking an entry level Controller to help us with our increasing financial and accounting needs. This is a new position within our company, and the successful candidate will be responsible for budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting and supervising the accounting staff. Responsibilities
Participate in the development of and support the company?s strategic plans
Monitor the financial performance of the company
Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
Prepare monthly and annual operating budgets
Develop and manage financial and accounting controls in accordance with the company?s procedures
Communicate financial metrics to senior management
Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments
Issue timely and complete financial statements
Ensure bank reconciliations are completed
Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel
Provide financial analysis as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations
Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Responsible for the filing of quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission
Qualifications
Experience in GAAP Accounting including financial preparation and reporting for public companies
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
Accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA or CA), or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
Minimum 2-5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
Self-motivated and self-directed
Ability to work closely with a senior management team

Salary: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
