Maine Vocational and Rehabilitation Associates is a company dedicated to serving Adults with and Physical Disabilities.
Currently we are searching for certified DSPs in the Bangor area to work within our Work Support Program.
This Position starts as Part Time with opportunity to become full time.
Work Support shifts are great for all different schedule availability: Mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.
We strive to make it possible for people with varying levels of disabilities to also become active, wage-earning members of the community by generating positive employment opportunities and providing ongoing support. Pre-Vocational skill development is also provided as an opportunity for those who fell they are not quite ready for job seeking.
Work Support Duties and Skill sets to be utilized are as follows:
Reliability
Strong communication skills
Ability to write and develop individual progress notes/assessments on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, as required.
Strong ability to serve as a role model to clients.
Supports individual's in a positive and respectable manner
Foster good working relationships with employers.
Applicants must pass criminal background, driving record, adult protective, and State/Federal debarment checks. Applicants must have an education level of a High School diploma/GED or higher. And must also maintain reliable transportation, current State of Maine driver's license, and motor vehicle insurance
